Glamour Icons Mini-stitches intermediate session aim to set beginner toward being being a confident in dressmaking and simplifying the technics especially working with with own patterns or commercial sewing patterns. The lesson include both practical sewing or pattern cutting class, we do demonstrations about everything you need to know and how to begin work with sewing patterns at home or in a sewing class.

Glamour Icons Ministiches offers private, one to one lessons that are tailored to meet your sewing needs. If you are a complete beginner, we'll start with the basics and go from there. If you have sewn before but want to learn something specific, we'll work on that during your private sewing lessons. If you want to get assistance with a special project, then these private lessons will be ideal for you. The lessons can be at your own home or at the studio. These lessons are also offered to all college students that need assistance with their college assignments There is no minimum time so book today! Fun for kids
Fun 4 Kids is dedicated to introducing children to sewing. They will start off learning basic hand sewing skills through fun projects. You will be amazed what they can achieve. This fun and creative course provides children with a life skill, which they can use to make their own or presents for loved ones. Classes are kept to a maximum of 6 students, so that pupils obtain as much attention as required, enabling the children to utilise all facilities during the workshops. As the children will be introduced to the sewing machine, learning control, stitch variation, safety and the workings of the sewing machine, while producing some exciting projects.Although the projects are tutor led I always encourage imagination and personal input.Projects covered include making a needles case, a soft toy, a bag, a cushion or even night slippers. These are just a few and we are introducing new projects all the time. All fabric and equipment needed are included in the cost, so come along to Glamour Icons Mini stitches workshop and have some fun learning a new and very useful skill.

Making a skirt
Learn how to make a skirt with both contemporary and vintage feel. you will learn how to sew pleats, add a waistband facing, add lining to a skirt and how to sew pockets. Leave with a pattern and a finished, fully lined skirt.You can bring your own fabric at least 1.5 metres.
Cake and tea and biscuits will be provided to help the sewing process.

A simple dress pattern draft can be made to any desirable style. I will show you how to manipulate the dress block to achieve different styles. Will show you how to create a lining pattern for the dress. We will then create a simple dress.

The draping step by step guide will teach you the techniques you need to create cowl neck top. You will learn the techniques in basic fitting on a dress form or body. Glamour Icons introduction to Bodice/Corsetry
Pattern making class
This intensive one day pattern making class will teach students how to construct a basic corset block.
step-by-step guide how to construct a pattern.
The Glamour Icons corsetry lesson is aimed at students with an interest in corsetry or bridal/evening wear.
The pattern can also be drafted easily to different shapes and styles in the future for lingerie purposes or evening/bridal wear.
By the end of class you will be able to assemble a boned bodice / corset.
This pattern making class can be combined with the 'Introduction to corsetry' intensive weekend master class;
using your own pattern to assemble a boned bodice/corset by the end of both classes.

Glamour Icons Lingerie for absolute beginners
This intensive Glamour Icons class is aimed to students with very little or no sewing experience.
You will be guided through the basics of sewing classes or adapt these techniques for general dressmaking purposes.
The emphasis will be is on sewing techniques which can be used for lingerie making, including the following:
- introduction
- How to use your sewing machine
- basic stitches (straight, zig zag)
- basic seams
- curved seams
- how to press seams
- French seams
- working with stretch materials
- elasticated stitches
- attaching elastics onto stretch materials
-using your own measurements.
You will also be encouraged to make a pair of knickers from a provided template with your new learnt skills.
At the end of the session you will be provided sample book of all main professional sewing techniques to refer to on future projects and references.
